Who we are
Sifted is a product of AI for All, LLC (“Sifted,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Questions about this policy can be sent to matt@siftedchef.com.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Sifted, we may collect:
- Account information, such as your email address, authentication identifiers, and basic profile details.
- Your cookbook content, including saved recipes, source links, cookbooks, notes, grocery items, serving preferences, and cooking progress.
- Content you submit, including recipe links, text, and images you choose to import or upload.
- Usage and technical information, such as feature interactions, device type, app version, diagnostics, and security events.
- Communications, including support messages and your email preferences.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, synchronize, and secure your Sifted account.
- Import, organize, scale, and display recipes you request.
- Maintain grocery lists, cooking progress, notes, and preferences.
- Send authentication, service, and support communications.
- Understand reliability and improve Sifted’s features.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
Recipe sources and AI-powered features
When you submit a recipe link, Sifted may retrieve the linked page to extract structured recipe information. Sifted preserves the source URL and attribution so you can return to the original creator.
Some current or future features may use artificial intelligence to interpret content, clean up incomplete recipe details, or help you adapt a recipe. When you choose those features, the content needed to complete the request may be processed by service providers acting on our behalf. We do not use your private cookbook content to train a public AI model.
Service providers
We use service providers to operate Sifted, including providers for cloud hosting, database and authentication, transactional email, analytics, security, customer support, and AI processing. They may process information only to provide services to us or as otherwise permitted by law. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention and deletion
We retain account information and cookbook content while your account is active and as needed to provide Sifted. You may delete your account from Sifted’s account settings. Account deletion permanently removes your account and associated recipes, cookbooks, grocery items, notes, and progress from active systems, subject to limited backup, fraud prevention, and legal retention requirements.
You may also request access, correction, or deletion by emailing matt@siftedchef.com from the address associated with your account.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Sifted is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us.
Your choices and regional rights
You can update certain account details, control email preferences, and delete your account in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise a request. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Sifted changes. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
